Interlibrary loan is all about borrowing 和 lending (sharing) 文章, 书, 以及其他材料 for you from other libraries throughout Colorado 和 the rest of the US. We work with services called 探勘者, 默比乌斯, WorldCat, Tipasa to provide these items to you.

探勘者 is a group of academic, public 和 special libraries in Colorado 和 Wyoming. Through 探勘者 you have access to over 30 million 书 以及其他材料 held in these libraries, 视情况而定.

默比乌斯 is a lot like 探勘者 but it's a group within the state of Missouri, rather than primarily out of Colorado (like 探勘者). It has over 70 members, which includes academic, public 和 special libraries.

Other Interlibrary Loan 请求
For items unavailable 卡内基梅隆大学, that also can't be obtained through 探勘者 or 默比乌斯, you can also submit a request through Tipasa. Tipasa 名字是 馆际互借 system 由CMU库WorldCat. 获取材料, we must be able to identify a library that has the material 和 is willing to loan or copy what you have requested.

Please consider the following before ordering a dissertation through 汤姆林森图书馆's Interlibrary Loan department:
- Dissertations can be very lengthy, often the size of a book (several hundred pages).
- The wait for a dissertation is generally 7 days to 1 month.
- Even though the dissertation is listed in our databases, it might 不 be available for loan 和 it may take several days to discover if the item is even available.
- The Library will cover the cost of your request. Please be respectful of our budget 和 order only if you 是 sure it is required.
